Beijing Hosts Spectacular “Lazgi: Dance of Love” Performance
A performance of the famous "Lazgi: Dance of Love and Heart" took place in Beijing, as announced by Presidential assistant Saida Mirziyoyeva.
The ballet, known for its popularity in Beijing, was staged at the Chinese National Opera Theater with support from the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan.
The ballet has received acclaim during its three-year tour, captivating audiences in cities such as Dubai, Istanbul, Bursa, Dortmund, Moscow, Paris, and St. Petersburg. The choreographer Raimondo Rebek and the National Ballet of Uzbekistan's troupe skillfully reinterpreted the ancient Lazgi dance, earning applause for their emotional performances.
Originating from the land of Khorezm, Lazgi is a dance that holds cultural significance for thousands of years, showcasing the limitless creativity of the people. Every movement and gesture in Lazgi reflect the rich history and unparalleled beauty of Uzbek culture, along with a deep respect for ancestors.
The Beijing performance was part of Uzbekistan Culture Days in the People's Republic of China. Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed gratitude for the well-organized artistic celebration.
