Samarkand to host UNESCO’s 43rd session in 2025
The 43rd session of UNESCO will take place at the "Silk Road Samarkand" tourist complex. This is outlined in the Presidential Decision "On measures to prepare for holding the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand in 2025."
Preparations for the session include organizing works related to the preservation of relevant cultural heritage objects in Samarkand, along with the creation of immersive and thematic exhibitions. Additionally, an official application for membership in the International Research Center for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments has been submitted.
Efforts will be made to include cities and unique cultural and natural heritage sites in Uzbekistan in UNESCO's Creative Cities and Cities Promoting Education networks, as well as international lists. Propaganda activities are also planned to highlight the significance of hosting the session in Uzbekistan, emphasizing its growing importance in global politics and its role as the originator of global initiatives.
