Abdulla Aripov: Turbulence in the global economy dictates the need for active cooperation

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, addressing the meeting of the Council of heads of government of the SCO countries, supported the proposal of the Chinese side to establish institutions of people's diplomacy in the SCO countries.

"There is a significant potential for cooperation in the tourism sector, which is one of the systemic drivers of economic development and cultural rapprochement –" Aripov said. — To exchange experience and practice in the field of tourism industry, we propose to use the site of Silk Road International University of Tourism in Samarkand."

The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan also offered to support the initiatives of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, put forward at the Bishkek summit of the organization, and hold the SCO economic forum annually.

"The continuing turbulence in the global economy dictates the need for active cooperation in the implementation of joint investment, infrastructure, transport and agro-industrial projects. We are convinced that the implementation of these tasks will be served by the initiatives of the President put forward in the framework of the Bishkek summit, " Aripov said.
