The Central Bank of Uzbekistan forecasts growth of remittances in 2024 by 10-15%, up to $12.5 billion. These figures were published by Central Bank's labor market review.
According to the regulator, the creation of additional conditions for labor migrants and demand for workers abroad will make it possible to maintain the dynamics of migration and money transfer in the current year.
In 2023, the volume of cross-border money transfers to Uzbekistan increased by 14%, against 3% in 2022.
For reference, last spring the Asian Development Bank recorded positive dynamics of remittances from the Russian Federation to the countries of Central Asia.
