IDC: IT market of Uzbekistan set to grow 6.9% in 2017
International research and consulting company IDC has changed the current and long-term forecast of development of ICT sector in Uzbekistan in comparison with the forecast of 2016.
International research and consulting company IDC has changed the current and long-term forecast of development of ICT sector in Uzbekistan in comparison with the forecast of 2016.
According to IDC, the IT market of Uzbekistan is set to grow 6.9% in 2017 (in 2016 - 4.8%), reflecting moderate growth in terms of devaluation and the restoration of the state and the corporate sector. The greatest increment of growth will be recorded in the services segment - 17.6% (13.3 percent). IT hardware and software are set to grow by 6.1% (4.1%) and 13.6% (12.4%), respectively.
According to IDC, in terms if all government plans to liberalize foreign trade, foreign exchange regime are implemented, the growth rate of the IT market of the country will comprise on average 30% higher compared with the previous forecast.
Therefore, IDC expects that after 5 years the IT market of Uzbekistan will grow 83.5% in comparison with the year 2016.
