Malaysian chain of Halal fast food Marrybrown enters Uzbek market

Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov held talks with the financial Director of Marrybrown Sdn. Bhd, David Leah.

Marrybrown Sdn. Bhd is the largest Malaysian chain of fast food restaurants, certified on the principles of "Halal". The company operates more than 138 restaurants throughout the country and some 350 restaurants in 20 countries.

David Leah expressed readiness to establish cooperation with entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan to open a network of catering outlets on the basis of franchising. The terms and cost of the transfer of the trademark of the company will be discussed in determining the specific partner from the Uzbek side. This brand is one of the most recognizable in the countries of Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and thus can serve as an "anchor business" to attract tourists from these countries to Uzbekistan.
