The Malaysian company Serba Dinamik Group Berhad plans to build a $250mn plant for the production of caustic soda and liquid chlorine in the Khazarasp FEZ in the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the ministry of investment and foreign trade of Uzbekistan.

According to the Malaysian side, the German concern Thyssen Krupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers s.p.l. will draw up a feasibility study of the project.
The production capacity at the enterprise will be 33,000 tons of caustic soda and 30,000 tons of liquid chlorine per year. The company's produce is set to be exported to foreign countries, including North Africa.
The parties agreed to speed up the project and begin the construction by the end of November this year.
