Previously, the Energy Minister stated that the cost of producing and supplying 1 kW/h of electricity is higher than the current tariff for the population. The difference is subsidized by the state. To liberalize the energy market, a resolution was passed in September 2023, bringing electricity tariffs for legal entities closer to market prices while keeping tariffs for the population unchanged.
