Turakurgan TPP launched its first gas turbine on August 5 in Namangan region. The TPP will operate in a test mode, and starting November - at full capacity, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.

Power units of the new type will produce twice as much electricity per unit of spent fuel compared to traditional thermal power plants. According to experts, the efficiency of steam and gas installations will be about 59%, which is twice the parameters of traditional steam generating stations; emissions into the atmosphere during the operation of power units are reduced by almost half.
