Uzbek and Russian PMs sign protocol on simplified customs corridor

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Oripov and the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin met in Samarkand, within the framework Uzbek-Russian business forum to discuss a strategic partnership between the countries. By the end of the meeting over 10 documents were signed. One of the signed documents-“Agreement on opening representative offices of the Customs services of Uzbekistan and Russia”, includes the following goals:

  • Reduce the use of customs control through the risk management system.
  • The list of persons to whom the simplified customs corridor mechanism is applied includes authorized economic operators.
  • New standards are being introduced to improve the use of this system.
