Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to join European 'green' energy corridor

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have expressed their interest in joining the European "green" energy corridor to facilitate the supply of electricity from Central Asia to Europe. The parties also emphasized that cooperation in the energy sector will create a bridge between Azerbaijan and the EU, passing through Hungary.

Parviz Shahbazov, the head of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy, held discussions with Peter Szijjártó, the Hungarian Foreign Ministry representative, regarding the export of electricity to European nations. The proposed plan involves establishing an energy corridor along the Caspian-Black Sea route that will enable efficient transmission of electricity from Central Asia to Europe.

During the meeting, all participants reached an agreement to export electricity from Central Asia to Europe, further increasing the region's commitment to sustainable energy practices.
