The cheapest gasoline in the world is in Venezuela (0.016 dollars), while the most expensive is in Hong Kong (2.942 dollars). The average price of gasoline worldwide is 1.30 dollars per litre.
Turkmenistan is ranked 8th among the countries with the cheapest gasoline, with a price of 0.428 dollars.
Usually, prices are lower in developing countries and in countries that produce and export oil. For example, although the United States is economically developed, the gas price there is low.
The differences in prices between countries are related to various taxes and subsidies on gasoline. All countries have access to the same oil price on international markets but then decide to impose various taxes.
