Uzbekistan to implement “Zero Waste” model to minimize waste

Uzbekistan plans to implement the “Zero Waste” model for minimizing waste in Uzbekistan. This was discussed at the video conference held between the Ministry of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan and the leading company in waste management in the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East, "Beeah Group."

The Minister of Natural Resources, Aziz Abduhakimov, and the CEO of "Beeah Group," Khaled Al Huraimel, discussed the possibilities of adopting this model in Uzbekistan, as well as implementing digital solutions for waste management. The "Zero Waste" model aims to maximize the recycling of waste, minimize waste generation, and prevent environmental pollution.

Khaled Al Huraimel, the CEO of "Beeah," expressed the company's interest in entering the Uzbek market and creating an integrated waste management system in the country.

The Ministry of Natural Resources emphasized the importance of cooperation in addressing key environmental issues in Uzbekistan, such as the recycling of car tires, batteries, and organic waste, as well as the conversion of waste into energy.
