Uzbekistan plans to launch the production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in the near future, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Rashid Nurgaliyev told Rossiyskaya Gazeta., He said that Russia would provide assistance and support to the CIS countries in eliminating natural and man-made emergencies, in the field of combating biological threats, the spread of dangerous infectious diseases.
"And here it is appropriate to note that the COVID-19 pandemic showed the complexity of solving this problem and once again emphasized the priorities of cooperation between our state and partners in the CIS. It was to the CIS countries that Russia primarily supplied tests, medicines, provided comprehensive methodological and medical assistance, " Nurgaliyev said.
He recalled that the active use of the Sputnik V vaccine has begun in the CIS countries, the drug is registered in Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and South Ossetia.
