Uzbekneftegaz and Air Products explore possibility to produce helium from natural gas
Air Products and Uzbekneftegaz signed an Agreement on the conditions for the establishment of a joint venture for the production of technical gases and a Memorandum of understanding to study the possibility of organizing the production of helium from natural gas.
Energy Ministry Alisher Sultanov met with President of Air Products Corporation (USA), Mr. Seyfi Ghasemi.
Air Products and Uzbekneftegaz signed an Agreement on the conditions for the establishment of a joint venture for the production of technical gases and a Memorandum of understanding to study the possibility of organizing the production of helium from natural gas.
The head of the American Corporation also said that the delegation of Air Products in the framework of this visit is comprised of the entire top staff of the company, which shows a commitment to active cooperation and resolution of all issues.
He noted that the Corporation currently sees five main areas of cooperation with Uzbekistan, the first of which is the work within the framework of the joint venture on industrial gases, the agreement on which was signed within the framework of the meeting.
