UFA reveals year's award winners
In 2023, over 70 national teams and clubs visited Uzbekistan for football and futsal matches, as reported in the year-end meeting of the Football Federation of Uzbekistan. The meeting summarized the results of Uzbek football in 2023 and announced the year's award winners.
During the congress, the Football Association of Uzbekistan presented the results and reports of their accomplishments over the year. Notably, they highlighted Uzbek football's growing global recognition. For instance, Uzbekistan secured the hosting rights for the 2024 World Futsal Championship, and the Asian Football Confederation recognized the Football Association of Uzbekistan as the "Best Federation" of 2023. Consequently, these awards were handed over to UFA President Abdusalom Azizov.
In the event's second part, awards were given to the best players of this year's football season. Nodir Elibayev was nominated for the Best Futsal Coach, while Husniddin Nishonov was nominated for the Best Player. The Women's High League awards featured Umida Zoirova as the Best Player of the Year, Vladislav Khan as the Best Coach, Lyudmila Karachik as the Best Female Player, and Diyora Habibullayeva as the Top Scorer of the Women's High League.
Abdukodir Husanov was named the best young player of the year, Abbosbek Fayzullayev earned the title of the best player, and Ravshan Haydarov was recognized as the best coach of the year. At the end of the event, Uzbekistan Football Association President Abdusalom Azizov congratulated everyone on the New Year and shared his views on various matters.
