International Labour Organization sets example for Uzbekistan
ILO commended the republic for its determination and political will.
Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva held talks with the Director of the ILO International Labor Standards Department Corinne Varga in Switzerland.
The sides discussed issues of establishing decent work conditions, protection of human dignity and freedoms at work, real and consistent implementation of international standards in this direction.
The ILO department director thanked Uzbekistan for its determination and political will to cooperate constructively with the ILO.
“The ILO in building a dialogue with other countries that face similar problems, effectively uses the experience gained from many years of cooperation with Uzbekistan. We would like to emphasize that your country has become a kind of model for the ILO, which can be an example for other states, especially from the Central Asian region”, - said Corinne Varga.
At the end of the meeting, they agreed to further expand cooperation on ratification and implementation of ILO conventions.
