Issues of Youth Employment Considered

Additional opportunities will be created for youth businesses. At least 40 percent of the loans allocated under the Family Entrepreneurship Program will be used for this purpose.

The responsible persons informed about the plans to ensure employment of 100 thousand young people in new industrial projects, 150 thousand in the sphere of services, as well as 200 thousand through legalization of workplaces and self-employment.

Digital technologies are currently a promising area for young people. Therefore, the state program envisages the implementation of the project "Two programmers from each mahalla". In addition, it is planned to provide employment for 70 thousand young people in the field of information technologies.

One million schoolchildren will be provided with free foreign language instruction through the Youth Agency's "Ibrat Farzandlari" project. Unused premises in schools will be rented free of charge to language tutors and learning centers. 100 private learning centers in rural areas with high student performance will be granted compensation for up to 6 months of rental costs.

Young people who take private courses and obtain a "C1" level certificate will be covered for their tuition fees, while those who obtain a "B2" level certificate in German, French, Korean, Japanese and Chinese will be refunded for the cost of obtaining the certificate. Another innovation is that not only the cost of taking the exam for the certificate, but also the six-month tuition fee will be covered.

Under the Ustoz project, 250,000 young people will be trained in 30 modern professions such as marketing, advertising, e-commerce, and IT design.

The meeting also considered the implementation of the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to improve the procedure for granting agricultural land plots for lease" dated January 18 this year. The decree determines putting 15 thousand 626 hectares of agricultural land in 156 districts for online auction.
