Netherlands appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, received copies of credentials from the new ambassador of the Netherlands (headquarters in Astana), Niko Schemers.
"We met with Niko Schemers, who was appointed as the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Uzbekistan at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and received copies of his credentials," the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote on his Telegram channel. "There are great opportunities to expand the agenda of bilateral cooperation. We are ready to support Mr. Ambassador's efforts aimed at enriching Uzbekistan-Netherlands relations."
Experienced diplomat Niko Schemers was appointed to replace Andre Carstens, who was previously the ambassador of the Netherlands to Uzbekistan.
