Parliament approves Abdulla Aripov as Prime Minister of Uzbekistan
In accordance with article 98 of the Constitution, the Prime Minister's candidacy is proposed by the political party that won the largest number of seats in the Legislative Chamber elections, or by several political parties that received the equal largest number of seats.
The Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis held a joint session today. The main item on the agenda was the appointment of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev submitted the candidacy of Abdulla Aripov for consideration and approval.
Abdulla Aripov presented a program of actions of the Cabinet of Ministers for the short and long term.
The speakers at the meeting expressed their views, supported the priorities set out in the President's report, and approved the proposed candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
The Chambers of the Oliy Majlis adopted a resolution to approve Abdulla Aripov as Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
