Tripartite document to be signed on "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway construction project
In Xi'an, China, the State Committee for Development and Reforms of China, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a tripartite document providing for the following stages of the "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" railway construction project.
It was noted that the parties had developed the technical and economic basis of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project and carried out a tripartite joint evaluation of the technical and economic basis. An examination is planned later. This document defines the next stages of the implementation of this project, including the development of the construction project, the study, and the determination of the investment and financing model.
The implementation of the project will make the road from East Asia to the countries of the Middle East and Southern Europe approximately 900 kilometers, and the delivery time will be reduced by 7-8 days. According to preliminary forecasts, the volume of cargo transportation will be 12-15 million tons per year.
