Uzbekistan and South Korea to Boost AI Cooperation Against Crime

Uzbekistan and South Korea are strengthening cooperation on using artificial intelligence and information technologies to combat crime. A meeting at the Uzbekistan Embassy involved officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Security of South Korea and Kyongbuk National University. They discussed expanding cooperation in fighting crime using modern technology.

The meeting highlighted the positive development in cooperation between law enforcement agencies of both countries. Regular video conferences and meetings between experts occur, and South Korea provides seminars and workshops for Uzbekistan's law enforcement on using technology to combat cybercrime and ensure public safety.

The meeting discussed future cooperation prospects, including a visit by Uzbekistan's Ministry of Internal Affairs delegation to South Korea in March. South Korea also offered to train Uzbekistan's Ministry of Internal Affairs specialists in artificial intelligence and IT. Both countries' law enforcement educational institutions agreed to explore drafting a Memorandum of Cooperation on information technologies.
