2,448 Children Released from Orphanages

During a press conference involving National Guard leadership, improvements in family orphanage operations and the comprehensive development of personnel were discussed. The President's decision led to the closure of 23 orphanages in Uzbekistan, including 14 for children, 4 for adolescents, and 5 for infants, resulting in the release of 2,448 children.

Out of this total:

  • 694 were reunited with parents or close relatives.
  • 516 were placed through adoption, guardianship, sponsorship.
  • 753 children found care within 138 family orphanages.
  • 211 children pursued further education (including 50 in higher education and 161 in specialized secondary institutions).
  • 118 individuals, upon turning 18, transitioned to independent life.
  • 156 individuals were transferred to other institutions focused on kindness, generosity, and similar values.
