Avaz Mansurov appointed rector of Institute of National Variety Art
Mansurov Avaz Maksudovich has been appointed rector of the Institute of National Variety Art named after Batyr Zakirov at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. This is provided for by a government decree, the Ministry of Justice reports.
Avaz Mansurov (born in 1957) is from Kokand. He graduated from the Tashkent Conservatory in the composition class of Professor B.I. Zeidman (1982), an assistant internship under the guidance of Professor F.M. Yanov-Yanovsky (1986).
At the same time, he is a laureate of the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan (1986) and a laureate of the Republican competition "Uzbekiston - Vatanim" (1998-1999).
Prior to his new appointment, he served as First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the State Conservatory.
Recall that this Institute was established by presidential decree in October 2021.
The tasks of the Institute include:
- training of highly qualified specialists and scientific and pedagogical personnel;
- the creation of the "Golden Fund" of samples of modern performance on the national stage, their transfer to music and widespread introduction into practice;
- conducting fundamental, practical and creative research in the field of national variety art.
