Government introduces credit-module system for technical schools
The government has decided to introduce a credit-module system in technical schools. The approved regulation outlines the organization of the educational process, following the European Credit Transfer and Assumption System.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation will identify the educational programs for implementing this system. The duration of the academic year is program-specific, with credits earned through compulsory and optional subjects in the curriculum. Students must accumulate a minimum of 60 credits per academic year.
The training load is determined based on the curriculum, where 1 credit equals 25-30 academic hours on average. The credit-module system considers both classroom and independent study hours. The academic year's educational program aims for students to achieve 30 credits per semester and 60 credits per academic year. Students with academic debts can transfer them during vacations, but this will be a paid service.
