Ministry of Transport Urges Timely Orders for International Transport Permits
The Ministry of Transport in Uzbekistan has issued an appeal to cargo and passenger car carriers. The exchange quota of permits for international transportation, as outlined in the July 7, 2023, Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, will be regulated according to the Regulation in Annex 1 of the Decision on Measures.
Clause 13 of Chapter 3 in this Regulation requires national carriers to submit orders in the appropriate form to the authorized body of Uzbekistan at least three months before the next year starts. This is to determine the annual general need for foreign/multilateral permits.
As of February 1, 2024, only 40 percent of national carriers have submitted orders. This has led to delays in distributing foreign/multilateral permits among national carriers. The Ministry of Transport urges transporters to submit orders promptly to avoid further delays.
