Thus additional measures are to be taken not only to preserve cultural heritage sites, but also to support a tourist image of the Navoi region by increasing its tourism potential.

On 20 May 2019, the Regional Tourism Development Office of the Navoi region and the "Institute of Research of Central Asia» signed a contract with a total value of 1, 1 billion Uzbek soums. The document provides for measures aimed at implementing the three phases of a project. First steps include means to preserve and protect historic complexes with the support of qualified local specialists and foreign experts. Second and third stages provide for preparation of scientific data on cultural objects to get the monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In addition, raw data will be collected to write the nomination text for the study of the condition of each monument.
