Narcologist's warning: vaping linked to bronchitis in all smokers
When it comes to health, bad habits can take a toll on our well-being. Electronic cigarettes, often seen as a convenient alternative by some, have been found to have significant negative consequences. Not only do they contain nicotine and other harmful chemicals, but they also contribute to lung diseases, cardiovascular issues, and weakened immunity. Specialists warn that the allure of e-cigarettes can lead to addiction within a month.
A narcologist at the Republican Specialised Scientific and Practical Medical Centre for Narcology in Tashkent, Nargis Sadygova, shared information about the effects of vaping. Smokers who turn to e-cigarettes often experience headaches and poor health, mistakenly attributing these symptoms to fatigue rather than the harmful effects of smoking. Narcologists assert that electronic cigarettes are even more detrimental to health compared to traditional cigarettes.
Vaping is more harmful for health than traditional cigarettes The reason is that it contains not only nicotine but also some chemicals that give certain tests, such as strawberry or banana. This makes them even more dangerous and addictive, says Nargis Sadygova, a narcologist of the highest category
The narcologist also highlights that while physical addiction to e-cigarettes can be treated within a week of inpatient care, overcoming the mental addiction depends on the individual's willpower. Unfortunately, there has been a concerning rise in young patients seeking help for e-cigarette addiction, with ages ranging from 13 to 16 years old. She emphasizes that simply banning e-cigarettes is not a comprehensive solution to the problem.
