New requirements and rating system for Uzbekistan’s pilgrimage tour operators
A rating system will be introduced for tour operators organizing small hajj trips
The government established a new requirement. Local tour operators must reserve a minimum of $100,000 for the Safe Tourism Fund in order to obtain a license for this purpose. This move aims to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims throughout their journey.
In addition to the financial obligation, tour operators must fulfill several other criteria. They are required to have a specialist with religious education on their team, along with employees who possess religious knowledge and skills.
