President Shavkat Mirziyoyev takes selfie with bloggers

Within the framework of ‘Sharq Taronalari’ international festival in Samarkand, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with local and foreign bloggers. Bloggers had a chance to take a selfie with the state leader.

“In recent years, Uzbekistan has been opening up to the world and wants to bring the whole truth to the international community. Most importantly, you can discuss, criticize’’ – said the head of state.

He noted the important role of bloggers in reporting the ongoing reports, promoting the culture and historical heritage of our people at the international level. President also mentioned that the policy of openness in Uzbekistan will continue to grow.

- I am very glad to see you all here in Uzbekistan, in the ancient cradle of civilization - Samarkand. Today we are writing a new historic chapter of Uzbekistan. Our goal is to make sure yourn people are living a comfortable life and ensure them to be optimistic about the future. Hoping to discover your contributions – President said.

- |I can see local bloggers among you. It makes me feel really proud. As the president of state, I promise to support you all the time – he concluded.

At the end of the meeting, the President took a picture with bloggers and wished them good luck.

"I am so happy the president took a historical selfie with us! It only means that the leader is open to bloggers! I am really excited!" – wrote the lawyer and blogger Khushnudbek Khudoyberdiyev on his telegram channel.
