South station of Tashkent starts operation on April 4

The South railway station of Tashkent has undergone a complete reconstruction on the basis of modern architectural requirements and is set to begin its operation on April 4. This was reported by UzA with reference to Uzbekistan Temir Yullari.

The total area of the railway station is 9.2 hectares. The territory of the station houses two modern fountains with a diameter of 14 meters. They are designed to create additional comfort for passengers, especially during hot summer days.

The railway station is able to serve 500 passengers simultaneously. In order to ensure the safety of passengers, the station territory is equipped with 170 video cameras.
