Supreme Court of Uzbekistan: 429 decisions of lower instances cancelled, 52 decisions changed

In the period of  January to September, the administrative courts considered 11,525 cases arising from public law relations. As a result, the rights of 5,589 citizens and legal entities were restored. In addition, 7,004 cases were considered on complaints against decisions of administrative bodies and self-government bodies of citizens and their officials- the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan reports.
"The number of cases considered on the recognition of the khokim's decision as invalid amounted to 3,665, for which 1,339 applications of individuals and legal entities were satisfied. Regional and equivalent administrative courts have reviewed 2,835 cases on appeal. 429 decisions of lower courts have been cancelled, 52 decisions have been changed," the report says.
Along with this, the judges of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan examined 2,213 complaints and protests in cassation, of which 1,096 were considered based on the case materials. As a result, 166 decisions of lower courts were cancelled, as well as 4 court decisions were changed.
Also, 36 cases were re-examined in cassation, and 28 court decisions were cancelled.
