Tashkent airport implements restrictions due to reconstruction
According to the Uzbekistan Airports, construction is currently underway to expand the terminal at Tashkent airport. As a result, certain restrictions have been implemented to ensure safety and prevent gatherings near the construction.
A dedicated passenger drop-off lane is available next to the international terminal car park for vehicles such as taxis and tour buses. Passenger drop-off in this lane should not take more than 10 minutes. To stop for a longer period, parking lot can be used.
Due to ongoing reconstruction work, access to the departure hall of Tashkent International Airport is currently restricted. However, pregnant women, women with children, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities are permitted to enter the terminal during this time. They must have a valid identity document with them.
The construction of the first floor in front of the main departure terminal is expected to be finished by June 2024. The management of "Uzbekistan Airports" company and the administration of "Tashkent" airport apologize for any inconvenience caused to passengers, observers, and visitors during this period.
