Uzbek citizens can issue driver’s license online
The government adopted a new decision “On additional measures to simplify the procedure for issuing a national driver's license”.
According to the decision, from April 15, 2023, the procedure for issuing a national driver's license will be introduced, including through the (my.gov.uz), without the direct participation of applicants.
In this:
- the thumbprint data of the applicants for the national driver's license will be placed, if the thumbprint data of the applicants is not available in the information systems, the applicants submit their signature sample in electronic form;
- applications for obtaining national driver's licenses and exchanging old-style driver's licenses for new ones can be submitted online through the personal office of the applicants at MyGov, every day, 24 hours a day, regardless of weekends and holidays;
- receiving newly issued national driver's licenses by mail will be possible.
By the end of 2023, all existing driver's licenses will be digitised, and linked to an individual's personal identification number.
