Uzbek famous actress Tuti Yusupova dies
‘Prominent Uzbek actress Tuti Yusupova has passed away at the age of 87,’ the press service of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre reports.
Tuti Yusupova was born on March 10, 1936, in the Samarkand region, graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute and worked at the Tashkent Drama Theater named after Khamzasine since 1957.
In 1994, Tuti Yusupova was awarded the title of People's Artist of Uzbekistan. In 2000, the actress was awarded the Order of El-Yurt Khurmati, in 2014, the Fidokorona Khizmatlari Uchun Order, and in 2020 she received the Mekhnat Shukhrati Order.
Tuti Yusupova is famous for her lead roles in "Abdullajon", "Nazira", "Shabnam" movies. She staged in more than 100 films, such as Sonya in Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, Nuri in Aibek's Sacred Blood, Khonzoda and Mastur in ‘Rich and the Laborer.’
