Uzbek government purchases additional 117 ‘Volkswagen Caddy’ ambulance vehicles
The Uzbek government purchased another 117 Volkswagen Caddy ambulance vehicles, the press service of the Health Ministry reports. The distribution of these vehicles is formed based on the population of the regions and the need to update ambulances.
At first, 230 units of Ford reanimobiles of B-class were delivered for use in Tashkent and Samarkand at the expense of the ambulance development fund. The number of such modern cars reached 541 in 2022. It is planned to purchase 1,000 units of A-class ambulances. In this regard, loan funds were allocated on the basis of the ADB project. It is intended to replace the old Damas cars in the system.
The Uzbek government plans to purchase another 640 ambulances from brands such as Hyundai, Ford, Volkswagen, Iveco.
