Uzbek government to launch a new penalty system for the traffic violation
New system that calculates fine points for traffic violations will be introduced to Uzbek drivers. According to it, there will be calculation for each traffic violation for 12 months.
The penalty rate will be calculated in the following format:
1 point for speeding
3 points for the passing red traffic light
If calculated penalty points will exceed 12 points, in accordance with the established procedure the driver will be deprived of the right to drive the vehicle for a certain period. On the other hand, the driver who didn’t commit a traffic violation during a certain period, will be encouraged by reducing previously calculated fine points.
This system will be launched only after testing period and after passing and eliminating some possible errors.
