Uzbekistan celebrates 686th anniversary Amir Temur

On April 8, Uzbekistan marks the 686th anniversary of the birth of the great statesman and commander Amir Temur.

It should be noted that the importance of the spiritual heritage of the era of Amir Temur, the personality of Sahibkiran as a statesman, great builder, patron of science and education, an unsurpassed commander, the role of the Temurids in the history of human civilization can hardly be overestimated.

Amir Temur rebuilt Samarkand and turned it into one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. He gathered there scientists, skilled craftsmen and artisans from many countries, greatly valued them and showed all respect.

The merit of Amir Temur as the patron of science and education is great. Historians note that he highly appreciated the importance of science and knowledge for the prosperity of the state. He was able to create and lay a solid foundation for the development of science and knowledge.

The name of Sahibkiran today is on a par with the names of the great figures of world history. The wise ruler of a vast empire had a sharp and penetrating mind, was a brilliant strategist and a skilled commander, and his essay on public administration "Temur Tuzuklari" ("Temur's Code") has not lost its scientific and philosophical significance to this day.

In 1993, a monument to Amir Temur was erected in Tashkent, the Order of Amir Temur was established, a foundation, a museum were opened, streets were named after him.
