Uzbekistan is to have ten new pedagogical universities.

On June 21, 2022, the Presidential Decree "On measures to improve the quality of pedagogical education and further develop the activities of higher education institutions that train teachers" was adopted.

According to the decision, on the basis of the relevant universities and their bachelor's and master's specialities:

- Urgench State Pedagogical Institute;

- Namangan State Pedagogical Institute;

- Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute;

- Uzbek-Finnish Pedagogical Institute;

- Andijan State Pedagogical Institute;

- Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute;

- Termez State Pedagogical Institute;

- Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute;

- Chirchik State Pedagogical University;

- Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.

From the academic year 2022/2023:

-️ Introduce the procedure for providing textbooks and methodological manuals used in preschool, general secondary, secondary special and vocational education to the higher education institution that trains teachers on a paid basis in accordance with their application;

-️ Weekly training for full-time students of grades 2–4 in the “4 + 2” mode (4 days of classes at the university, 2 days of preschool and general secondary education) in the order of internship in educational institutions).

Also, every year measures are taken to send at least 5% of professors and teachers of specialized departments of higher education institutions abroad for training and internships on a competitive basis.
