Uzbekistan Transforms Emergency Medical Services for Faster and Better Care
In Uzbekistan, the operation of single "Call-centers" has been launched in the regional branches of "Ambulance".
People will feel the results of the reforms in the medical system, first of all, when they see changes in emergency medicine and emergency care. Therefore, great work is being done in the country to improve the material and technical base of this vitally important field, to provide emergency medical care to patients in accordance with international standards.
Including:
- 6-7 years ago, there were 1868 vehicles in the ambulance system of our country. By the same period of 2023, 2,960 vehicles in the "103" service are providing high-quality emergency medical services to the population.
- The number of modern reanimobiles has reached 578. The fleet of special vehicles has been renewed by 60-70%;
- In 2016, 1,648 ambulance brigades operated in the country, and today their number is 2,762;
- In case of a call to the "103" service, the time to reach the destination was reduced from an average of 25-30 minutes to 8-12 minutes;
- types of drugs have been increased from 20 to 45;
- 39 inter-district joint injury and acute vascular disease centers were established in the regions. As a result, the number of district and city residents' appeals to medical institutions in regional centers has sharply decreased.

The President's decree defines the renewal of the fleet of special vehicles for 2022-2025.
For this reason, out-of-service Damas and other motor vehicles, such as Hyundai, Ford, Volkswagen and Iveco, are phased in with special vehicles equipped with modern and necessary medical equipment.
