The CRPD, adopted by the UN General Assembly on 3 December 2006, entered into force on 3 May 2008. On February 27, 2009, Uzbekistan signed the Convention, thereby confirming its agreement with the main goals and principles laid down in this international document. However, in order to make the CRPD compulsory for Uzbekistan, it is necessary to complete the ratification process.
