Winners honored at Tashkent International Mathematical Olympiad
The 4-day International Mathematical Olympiad “TasIMO-2025” has successfully finished. A grand closing ceremony and awards presentation took place at the Palace of Youth Creativity in the capital. Around 400 talented students participated in the final stage of the competition. The winners received a total of 450 million soums and 15,000 US dollars in prizes.
The event was attended by high-ranking guests, parents, teachers, and relatives of young mathematicians. Speakers highlighted the special focus on developing mathematics in Uzbekistan. They also emphasized the importance of the International Mathematical Olympiad “TasIMO” in sparking young people's interest.
After that, the main part of the event began. The winners were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals, along with special prizes, as the crowd cheered loudly.
This year’s Olympiad introduced a new change: the student from Uzbekistan who achieved the best result was awarded the Academician Shavkat Ayupov Grand Prix.
At the end of the event, popular artists delighted the participants and guests with joyful performances. The “TasIMO” International Olympiad will continue to be an important platform for strengthening knowledge and friendship among young people.
