‘Eurosport’ broadcasts ad featuring Uzbek cyclists

‘Eurosport’ television network on January 19, 2022, launched an advertising campaign featuring Tashkent City Professional Cycling Team 2022 from Uzbekistan.

The 5- and 15-second ads of the metropolitan streets broadcast in various languages in more than 50 countries of Europe, the Middle East, and Russia are aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and cycling as well as increasing the republic’s tourism potential. After all, the face of the modern Tashkent City International Business Center contributes to the capital’s imagery. The videos are also available on Eurosport’s official webpages.

The campaign is set to last until 26 February and would cover the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, as well as the UAE Tour on 20-26 February 2022.

First and foremost, people see that cycling here is on the rise. The government is supporting the Federation and the cyclists and it's just a matter of time until there will be some serious results for the Uzbek cyclists.  Cycling is not just a sport for wins. People come and see views like this. And the beautiful mountains and beautiful weather in the winter, in the summer, anytime basically. So it's not just a sport for results for wins. That is the sport in which people can come here and in ride to see the culture and the beautiful places as Uzbekistan has to offer. 

So far, three professional Uzbek cycling teams including track team ‘Tashkent track team’, men's continental team on the highway ‘Tashkent city professional cycling team’, as well as women's continental team on the highway ‘Tashkent city woman professional cycling team’ are to compete in the UCI World Cup. A total of 142 men’s and 42 women’s continental teams along the highway and 20 track teams were included in the list of teams licensed by the UCI.
