Diyora Keldiyorova is the "Grand Slam" judo champion!
The first day of the "Grand Slam" judo tournament, which started in Azerbaijan, is coming to an end. The national team of Uzbekistan won 1 gold and 1 bronze medal.
Diyora Keldiyorova, who is entering the ranks of the world elite in her weight category with her excellent fight in the last competitions, won the gold medal in the -52 kg weight category. Our compatriot won a convincing victory over Sosorbaram Lkhagvasuren from Mongolia in the decisive match. This success provides 500 rating points for our Samarkand judoka on the way to the Paris-2024 Olympics.
Also, Sita Kadamboyeva (-52 kg) won the bronze medal match over Poland's Aleksandra Kaleta. This was the first medal for Kadamboyeva in the "Grand Slam" tournaments in her career.
Unfortunately, Kemran Nurillayev (-60 kg) lost his chance in the competition for 3rd place and ended the competition in the top five.
