Chevrolet Monza Production Begins in Uzbekistan
UzAuto Motors is considering starting the production of Chevrolet Monza cars in Uzbekistan. This move would require substantial investments for re-equipping the car factory in Asaka and organizing the production of necessary components through local suppliers.
The decision comes as there is a growing demand and interest in Chevrolet Monza cars. In 2019, there were reports about the possibility of producing this model in Uzbekistan to replace the Chevrolet Cobalt, but at that time, representatives of "Uzavtosanoat" denied such a plan.
Chevrolet Monza is one of the more affordable cars offered by Chevrolet, and three updated versions of the model were launched in China in September 2022, with prices ranging from $13,200 to $15,200.
