Kazakhstan's Kinopark to build IMAX cinema in Tashkent
Kazakhstan's Kinopark plans to build IMAX cinema in the Uzbek capital. Representatives of the company have arrived in Tashkent to discuss the creation of a cinema with 10 halls.
"At the invitation of the Uzbek side, we have arrived in Tashkent to discuss the possibilities of implementing the project here. The region has a huge potential, " said Almaz Maldybayev, General Director of Kinopark-Kinoplexx Theaters.
Kinopark-Kinoplexx Theaters is the largest cinema chain in Central Asia, which operates 24 cinemas in 11 cities of Kazakhstan. The company has its own system of online purchases of tickets and bar products. At the beginning of this year, the company established a Tiger Films division to produce its own films.
In addition to Uzbekistan, the company plans to open cinemas in Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
