Namangan region to see implementation of 1,953 projects worth $1.6 billion
The Namangan region of Uzbekistan will soon see implementation of nearly two thousand projects worth over $1.6 billion dollars. This was announced during President Mirziyoyev`s visit to the region on June 27.
The Namangan region of Uzbekistan will soon see the implementation of nearly two thousand projects worth over $1.6 billion dollars. This was announced during President Mirziyoyev`s visit to the region on June 27.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev urged to improve the service sector in the region. Around $8 mln dollars will be channelled towards this direction. Some $226 million will be allocated to entrepreneurs, as coronavirus pandemic has hardly affected their businesses.
Over 55 thousand new jobs are set to be created upon successful implementation of nearly two thousand investment projects. According to Mirziyoyev, the textile industry requires particular attention, as more and more famous European brands are showing great interest to suits made in Namangan.
With this in mind, he ordered to allocate land plots for the construction of new large enterprises, so they would be able to cover the whole chain of production, starting from processing the cotton, ending with the production of ready garment.
