Tashkent airport implements self-check-in kiosks
Uzbekistan Airports and Tashkent airport together with SITA are also working on the introduction of a Self-BagDrop service.
Uzbekistan’s international airports are implementing a system of passenger self-registration produced by SITA, a supplier of services in air transport communications and information technologies, Uzbekistan Airports said on December 1.
Four self-check-in kiosks are by now operating at Tashkent Islam Karimov international airport. They allow passengers to quickly and easily complete all stages of registration, choose their desired cabin seat and print out their boarding pass.
Uzbekistan Airports has proposed that all airlines operating regular flights from Tashkent airport use the new service. Currently, due to the cancellation of most scheduled flights amid the coronavirus crisis, only Turkish Airlines passengers can use it.
