Uzbek furniture manufacturers to enjoy new benefits and preferences
Furniture manufacturers in Uzbekistan are set to receive a number of benefits and preferences.
According to a recent decree inked by the president, the government will create small industrial zones specializing in the production of furniture products by the cluster method. Production spaces within these zones are to be sold through online auction. All communications to such zones are to be brought at the expense of the state.
Enterprises that export 30% of their goods enjoy reimbursement of 50% of transport costs spent on the import of raw materials.
Until January 1, 2023, the country is to introduce a zero rate of customs duty on imports of raw materials, spare parts, and accessories used in the production of furniture.
