On May 16-18, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development organised a meeting.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Norkulov took part in the meeting.
In this regard, the new public secondary schools will be gradually established in the regions based on public-private partnerships and serviced and repaired by private partners. The two delegates planned to reconstruct, construct additional buildings and repair works of the state secondary schools operating today.
As the first stage of the process, EBRD specialists conducted internal analyses on obtaining grants and hiring consultants. 15 schools in Namangan and Fergana regions were included in the project. The capital cost of the project is $55-75 mln.
In constructing schools, based on approaches suitable for today's requirements, first of all, special importance is attached to creating all facilities necessary for students to receive a quality education. Also, implementing the project through the public-private partnership mechanism represents a new practice of school infrastructure development.
Also, within the framework of the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the EBRD, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Ilkhom Norkulov received a delegation of the "KSP" program of South Korea.
During the negotiations, issues of mutual strategic cooperation regarding the construction of charging stations for electric cars were discussed based on the financial support of South Korea's "Korea Eximbank".
